WE WERE INCORPORATED IN 1978 TO DEVELOP THE ORIGINALLY FORMED WORTHING & SOUTHERN COUNTIES
HISTORIC VEHICLE GROUP. THIS WAS FORMED IN 1962 TO ENCOURAGE THE PRESERVATION AND EXHIBITION OF STEAM TRACTION ENGINES, HISTORIC VEHICLES, STATIONARY ENGINES AND OTHER ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT IN THE SOUTHERN COUNTIES OF ENGLAND!
Our Events & Activities
Throughout the year, we host a varied programme of meetings, rallies and member gatherings, held at the Trust Centre as well as a number of other locations.
We also organise trips and visits for members to explore a range of interesting and historic destinations, including Duxford Museum, Milestones Museum and Bressingham Steam Museum & Gardens.
Our annual calendar includes a number of popular social events, including a Fish & Chip Evening to mark the start of the rally season, our Road Run in April celebrating National Drive It Day, and a Hog Roast in September.
In 2026, we were delighted to introduce our first show in many years 'Back In The Day' to our events calendar. Following its success, we hope to build on the event and see it grow from strength to strength in the years ahead.
Our events also provide opportunities for members to get involved, whether that's through event organising, agriculture, supporting our rallies and shows, or simply sharing a passion for preserving and promoting our countryside heritage.
There really is something for everyone, and we are always keen to welcome new members and new ideas.
